I...I've suffered from this fatigue as well. I've even asked God in prayer why He told me to prepare as though it was going to happen tomorrow, and then let things drag on the way they have. His answer; "Because my people; the people I told what was coming; they're not ready yet." Mind you; I'm no prophet. I pray, and this is what I get back. He also said that His patience wouldn't go on forever. I can't live in the prepper mindset 24/7. I have to step back and "live for the day" once in a while. In doing that though, I also tend to see all of the things that led me to prep in the first place, which steers me back onto the course. Stay with it. Try to find that balance point between prepping and "seizing the day." What's coming; it's real...

And those who don't believe you; think of how Noah must have felt... Then think of how the people he undoubtedly warned felt when it started raining... and didn't stop...Peteforesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00702888855868877243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315022003590495950.post-86244463415760934812016-06-29T13:14:35.169-07:002016-06-29T13:14:35.169-07:00I've been busy canning fruit as this is the ti...I've been busy canning fruit as this is the time of year that it comes off and just because there is a good year now doesn't mean there'll be a good year next. I was curious that the one comment stated that they had meat in the freezer.....what happens if, in fact, the electricity is turned off. What then? I've been working on storing more water. The one thing that I think you can't have enough of. Even if you use the water for a sponge bath. Am glad to see you back and getting back into the swing of things. I'm always interested in seeing what others are doing. Consider ...Well, you still have the right mindset! Consider what you did a short vacation from prepping to rev up your batteries and begin again! If you look back over this slow time, you may discover that you did more than you think. I had a forced slow down/break this last year as I had two cancers. just now done with chemo and getting strength back. But somehow, by the grace of God, the garden got harvested last year and planted this spring. Maybe everything isn't perfect. So what? Looking back, I did get a lot preserved. I'll take out a jar with a date from this last year and be amazed that I actually got that done! It's good to back off once in awhile and assess. :) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315022003590495950.post-48196352350899254902016-06-26T04:13:21.894-07:002016-06-26T04:13:21.894-07:00Your honesty is encouraging! I feel, as I read various information, overwhelmed; as if I am NOWHERE close to being prepared, but I will continue to prepare. I don't want my family to suffer Ike the people of Venezuela presently are. I thank you for the time you take to blog. Keep pressing forward.Learn to Tip the Scalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648187957282240431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315022003590495950.post-79698690513825918952016-06-24T07:39:11.684-07:002016-06-24T07:39:11.684-07:00Prepping... I'm not really a prepper... but ma...Prepping... I'm not really a prepper... but maybe I am. I grew up on a farm in north central KS. Yes there was a local grocery store (but very expensive). The major shopping was done approximately once a quarter in a town an hour drive away. We always planned ahead and bought to stock up. We also had a garden and canned and froze things.

I still do that today although I live in a town that has everything. I only go to the store once every 2 weeks because I found that when I went every week I was spending too much money. We have a fully stocked pantry, meat in the freezer, and stored water in the basement. We grow a small garden that my kids snack on all summer so nothing gets put up. But I'm happy that they are out there eating fresh vegetables.

I enjoy your blog because of the canning stuff and just all of the frugal things you talk about. Thanks for the blog.kkezir02https://www.blogger.com/profile/03527821676056141430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315022003590495950.post-8311975232126626262016-06-24T07:06:15.239-07:002016-06-24T07:06:15.239-07:00I have been prepping to the point that I'm not...I have been prepping to the point that I'm not living in the here and now. I had to set back from prepping for awhile and get my priorities straight. I realized that with prepping you can never have enough or do enough so I slowed down and reassure myself that we have a darn good head start. Like the comment above says "one thing every day" is a good motto.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04998488480352493432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315022003590495950.post-29222725893897934822016-06-24T05:56:13.866-07:002016-06-24T05:56:13.866-07:00I too have been suffering the prepped fatigue. While we do go out to eat, vacation, and go to the movies, we stick to a budget and have money for preps.
Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14188650874375595590noreply@blogger.com
