July Sensory Box

This one is super easy and the kids love it. I don't have a real sandbox outside yet ( working on it) So I decided to make a small one in the sensory box, just play sand and a few sand toys.

Katie had to play in it as soon as I got it done. I think she played with it for an hour haha. So it is good for all ages even 18 year olds haha

The kids played for hours.

It was in the house so I put a shower curtain under it to catch all the sand that got spilled (which wasn't much). I think out of all the sensory boxes I have done this was the biggest hit.

Then we colored Daniel, the lions and the Angel with a picture of a rock on top that they could lift to see under.

We sang the Wheels on the bus everyday.

First verse was the wheels on the bus go round and round.

I still want to add a few candy canes and some red glitter to the rice.

Here are a few things we worked on the week before Thanksgiving.

Made Turkey puppets

cut small pieces of tissue paper to glue on the tree for leaves

Made a Caterpillar out of the letter C

and put cotton balls on the letter C

I told a felt board story about cat

I get a lot of my ideas from kidssoup.com and notimeforflashcards.com they both have some really good ideas to add to what I already have from when I taught preschool years ago.

I am hoping to get a little more organized so I can also show some of the felt board stories, books and songs we are doing.
