Make your own Brown Sugar

Making your own brown sugar is so easy and taste so much better not to mention it is way cheaper.

Start with one cup of sugar.

Add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of molasses ( depending on how dark you want it to be) I always use 2 Tablespoons.

Mix with your mixer.

It will be a little lumpy just mash the lumps with a fork. Continue mixing.

You will have  nice fluffy fresh brown sugar.

So now you won't have to worry about your brown sugar getting hard or running out.

  2. Hi Connie, I did put molasses on my list for the next thing to put back.
Also it has so much iron in it! Not to mention the yummy cookies it will make. Are you getting much snow? It has been so dry for the praires here in Co. God help us!

  3. Roxy,
I love molasses when I was little my aunt made the best whole wheat bread we would put molassas on it sooo good.
We have had a little snow, the mountains have had quite a bit. I seen on the news the other night our area is doing better then the rest of the state. It is very scary if the whole state doesn’t get more moister it is going to be a bad summer I already know people selling off cows because of no pasture
or hay (us included). Hopefully the wind will not come and dry out what little moister that we have.
    Take care,Connie
