Week 18 Food Storage Challenge

This weeks Challenge is

10 cans of cream soups / Toilet Paper

Cream soups mushroom, chicken or what ever you like to use and eat or you can make your own. See here how here if you are going to make your own then get a little extra cornstarch and chicken bullion granules you should already have the powder milk in your storage.

Toilet Paper this is probably something you should try buying a little at a time as often as you can. Or you can use the family cloth I have an article here on them and how to make them here.

This months action item is to get  DIY books get them for every thing you an think of
soap making
gardening
cooking from scratch
off grid living
Herbal remedies
canning and food preservation
just to name a few

Start trying to learn some new skills either from these books or find some one you know to teach you. The Internet has tons of information if you get information from the Internet be sure to print it out. You might want to get a small binder to put each subject in that way you have easy access to it.

The item for the month to get is water purification there is some information here on this.

Keep putting back water

Add some more to your money stash

And very important don't forget to store what you eat and eat what you store it will do no good to store things you are not use to eating  because in a stressful situation the last thing you want is to be trying to cook and eat things you are not use to especially the kids.

  1. You know, there are areas where I feel pretty competent and areas where I think I'd get by, but as I get older, I don't handle the heat as well as I used to. I'm really going to have to make some changes to prepare for what to do without air conditioning. That probably sounds lame to some folks, but it's an issue for me. I have some ideas for building a place that's naturally cooler in summer/warmer in winter, but that project is quite a ways off. Need an interim plan. ??? brenda from ar
